Criminal Record Checks

  • Criminal Record Check via Biometrically Captured Fingerprints (AFIS)

  • This check is done to establish if a subject has a criminal record and whether charges have been laid against the subject or if the subject has been a complainant in the case. In order to conduct the test, the individual must sign a SA Police Service consent form (or similar) and must have his fingerprints taken on an SAPS approved biometric fingerprint reader (SAGEM MSO300).

  • International Qualification Verification (Countries outside South Africa)

  • In order to validate one of the above you are required to have a copy of these certificates as well as consent or release form.

Employment Reference Checks

  • Candidates will often provide a potential employer with a CV containing details of referees. Never accept these as the genuine people who will give you the correct information about the individual.

  • Hire a professional company to verify the details of the previous employer and to gather relevant information that will assist in making a more informed decision about the employment of the individual.

  • Not only will the information provided in the CV or application be verified to be true but relevant questions will be asked to understand if the individual stands a chance of being re-hired at the previous employer that the actual earnings stated is correct, time keeping tendencies, etc.

ID Verifications

  • Unfortunately, ID theft remains the top crime of all time, where over 930 million confidential records have been lost globally.

  • Ensures that the ID is valid and does not belong to a deceased subject

  • All checks done on South African subjects will have an ID verification check done on them.

  • Ensure that the ID information submitted matches the data on file at DOHA (Department of Home Affairs)

Visa Verifications & Residency Permits 

  • Visa Verifications

  • Verify the validity of a temporary permit as well as verify the validity of a work permit document

  • Temporary Residence Permits

  • Temporary residence permits are issued on request to applicants who intend to visit South Africa for a period of over three-months but not exceeding three-years. A Work Permit can also be classified under a Temporary permit category.

  • Permanent Residence Permits

  • A foreigner qualifies for a direct permanent residence permit if the applicant has lived in South Africa on the basis of a work permit for a minimum of five-years.

  • Permanent Residency-on-other-grounds permits applies to foreigners who:

  • Are in possession of a permanent work offer in South Africa

  • Have exceptional skills and qualifications

  • Intend to establish a business in South Africa

  • Qualify as refugees in terms of Section 27(c) of the Refugees Act

  • Qualify as retired persons

  • Are financially independent or

  • Are relatives (biologically or judicially adopted) of a South African citizen or permanent residence permit holder.
